Exercise Physiology & NDIS

The Exercise Physiologists at Advanced Health Exercise Physiology thoroughly enjoy working with the NDIS community. We use education, exercise and support in the treatment and self-management to all our NDIS participants. Our Exercise Physiologists can help treat various conditions under NDIS; Most commonly treating and managing clients with autism, intellectual disability, mental health conditions, fibromyalgia and neurological conditions including MS, Parkinson’s disease and spinal cord injuries.

Our exercise physiologists provide NDIS clients with an individualised exercise program tailored to their goals and needs, along with offering the tools and knowledge to help self-manage their condition to improve overall health and quality of life.

Seeing a NDIS registered exercise physiologist to receive a safe and effectivetailored exercise plan can provide various benefits including improved mental health and self-esteem, pain management, improved physical ability, strength and mobility, capacity building for activities of daily living, gain independence and enhanced participation at work and in the community.

Funding for exercise physiology can come from one of two budget areas in an

NDIS plan:

 Capacity building – Improved Daily Living

 Capacity building – Improved Health and Wellbeing

NDIS services with an AEP can be provided as:

 Individual sessions

 Small groups

 Via telehealth
